Celebrating 150 years – Sesquicentennial Calendar

Since 1868 generations of pupils have experienced opportunity, diversity and excellence during their education at Methodist College Belfast. During the academic year 2018/2019, Methody will be celebrating its sesquicentennial and we shall be delighted if you are able to join us for some or all the events planned for the year.

A 150th Committee of staff and former pupils has been working on putting in place a range of events and projects that will take place during the next academic year. Input from the pupils via the school and from councils has also helped to inform the programme.

The anniversary year starts with the principal, Mr Scott Naismith’s 150 mile sponsored walk from Malin to Methody to raise funds for the school and on 24th of August, pupils, parents, staff and former pupils will have the chance to come together and have some fun to celebrate the College’s 150th birthday.  If you would like to make a donation for this sponsored walk, this will go towards the development of facilities for the pupils and you can make this donation online: https://www.nowdonate.com/checkout/8no81aj3vz09bk84t92q

Please see calendar for some of the events currently planned up to December 2018.  If there are any additions, we will keep former pupils informed.
